6) a) if there are only 2 bases per codon and there are five different types of nucleotides then the total number of the codon is 5^2, that is permutation with repetition is n^r, n is a number of objects and r is how many we are taking at a time so here 5^2=25.

From this information, we can not calculate the number of amino acids it can code.

b) there are five nucleotides and now codon has 3 bases 5^3= 125 that is 125 codons are possible.
