ANSWER TO ABOVE QUESTION:
According to the article by James Moore, there are some of the emerging areas that are considered as the candidates for technical revolutions proposed based on ethical problems and some other as well.
There exist three technologies that could be part of candidacy for technical revolutions. Namely, Genetic technology, nanotechnology, and neurotechnology.
why? Well, that could be answered by finding the reasons that are favoring the candidacy of these technologies. Which are a high degree of malleability and their convergence. Now let us consider some of the salient features of the above-mentioned technologies.
Considering Genetic technologies, This indeed is used and is very useful in the food and medical industry. Genetic testing is a common part, where in-vitro fertilization and many more such types of technics are helping people live a better life. Also, various tests on DNA are established to do various findings related to criminals or to help some innocent imprisoned person, proving person's innocence. In future nanotechnology could be used for the detection of items such as blood type, or any foreign organism such as a bacteria, virus. Also, it will detect DNA, drugs or pesticides inside the bloodstream.
While other technologies such as Nanotechnology and neurotechnology are good enough and equally important as that of genetic technology but these two technologies are less established. No doubt that these two will have a considerable amount of impact in the coming future. After all, enormous social impact is considered the beginning of the technological revolution.
Nanotechnologies are used in the production of materials through manipulaltion of existing components at a scale of nanometers. Well, this has been going well and products such as nanotubes, protective films and biosensors are good examples.
