Answer #1

The experiences of various Asian countries after World War II support the proposition that government can play an active and positive role in promoting economic growth in the nation. This is because after World War II, government took active measures to increase the level of government expenditure in the economy and reduce taxes in the economy. This expansionary fiscal policy of the government played a great role in promoting economic growth by increasing the level of aggregate demand in the economy. This increase in the level of aggregate demand played an important role in eliminating recessionary gap in the economy and increasing the level of national output in the economy. Thus, government played an active and positive role in promoting economic growth.
