Q1. Alternative formats of information that are relative to information and data systems can be in such formats that are inclusive of audio, braille, electronic or any large print version that is available for a successful transmission of information between different parties. Though most of the data that is being captured by information systems is related to the operation of the organization itself and it serves as internal source of information for the employees or anyone who is willing to have the information.

In considering important points related to alternative formats relative to information and data systems then these should be kept in mind that these points are mostly relative and are based out on relevance model. This helps the user to understand how the things work and further the information is stored in data systems so as to process the data and then reply back with proper result that the person is willing to have or is willing to share with other people.

Q2. Being the main piece of health and safety legislation in Britain, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 provides all the legal frameworks that helps to promote and encourage high level of standards in the workplace. This act provided an integrated system to deal with any type of workplace health and safety as well as protection of the public from work activities. These rights are given to all the employees, employers, the self-employed, designers, manufacturers and importers as well. So combining, it gives the rights to people to work in the organisation safely.

As per this act, the main aspects that are covered is the point that if in any organisation, there are more than five or more employees working, then the owner of the organisation or the employer has an absolute duty to provide the government with a written health and safety policy and to ensure that all employees have seen it and they are comfortable in working in this environment with all the health and safety benefits given to them.

Q3. Organizational culture or we can say organisation’s culture is basically the beliefs, values, assumptions and the ways of interacting together in an organization. Every organisation is having different culture and the culture encompasses values and behaviours that contribute to the unique social environment in the organisation. This culture is basically a system of shared assumptions, values and beliefs that governs how people will behave in organisation. The way people behave and interact sets a culture and the same culture is being reflected in the organisation and is termed as Organisation’s culture.

The culture of an organisation simply affects the health and safety risk management of the employees because by knowing how people behave in an organisation sets the tone of getting things in a good way among employees. The way people interact, have values in them simply starts the progress of marking good things in the organisation. So, we may say that the organisation’s culture simply affect the health and safety risk management. If the culture is good, we may expect that the employers will take due consideration and will give stress upon employee safety and risk management during working hours and at workplace.

Q4. If I will be using policies and procedures to make sure that I will be complying with an organisation’s expectations in relation to managing health and safety information, then I will start adopting the right policies so that all the employees can get maximum benefit and good safety and risk management benefits. Policies should be good if they cover all the employees right from their joining and there should be no delay in forming and applying policies for employees. Being an employer, employees will be the key asset of my organisation and I will remain nothing without them. So, will try to use these policies effectively so that the employees can get good cover related to their health and safety on work and they should work freely without any tension. Once these things are taken care of, the culture of organisation itself goes up and things starts going super easy.
