In simple term ,term Finance means investment of current fund or resources to gain something in future. some earliest examples may be lending a hunting instrument with the understanding, returned later with at least some part of the kill. similarly lending seed to others with expectation of getting back seed plus a little extra at the end of the growing season.

All investment activities have the same concept of lending money to companies to get something extra at the end of financial year as part of profit.Many institutions have evolved to facilitate this lending and borrowing of funds,  Banks, investment bankers and many other organizations. ultimately the concept of return with extra is always there.
