8)Premature ventricular contractions may occur due to various causes like

  • Medication (antihypertensive, antidepressants)
  • Excessive adrenaline production
  • Increase in calcium level,decreased potassium, decreased magnesium
  • Alcohol and smoking
  • Caffeine
  • Stress
  • Cardiac ailments

If the PVC is continuous and frequent it may lead to arrhythmia and cardiomyopathy and endanger the life of patient.

  • Relaxation therapy
