Think about a time that you had to deal with others - it can be a work related event or a volunteer experience or even a group project in school where you have had to organize people and get something accomplished. Please share the following:

1. What are the positive aspects of being in a leadership position? (do not include getting more money - even though that is a positive - I want this to be about dealing with others/relationships)

2. What are the negative aspects of being in a leadership position?

3. What do you think your leadership style is and how does that help/hurt your leadership development?  

4. What is one thing you have learned from leading others that would be helpful for everyone to know.

Answer: The positive aspects of being in a leadership position are:

  1. New opportunities to show talent and skills.
  2. Improved and enhanced quality as working in team.

The negative aspects of being in a leadership position are:

  • Not everytime leader will agree with the team members,so chances of conflict occurs.
  • Unable to manage the situation.
  • It is a risk position as if you make wrong decision, you are going to be blamed.

The leadership style includes all the best and positive qualities such as effective communication, able to work in the team, always have positive response and thoughts and also encourage his team members. This qualities of a leader can lead to enhance the organization.

Leading others is not a dictatorship, it is a condition in n which all together we work and learn for the betterment of our aim and intension.
