Glow sticks produce light and its intensity depends on the temperature. Higher is the temperature, higher will be the intensity. So a glow stick placed in freezer emits almost no light, when compared to glow stick at normal temperatures. The dyes absorb light from the reactions and emit them to produce colors. While the strength of light by luminol is not so high, as the color fades away quickly.
For glow sticks the reactions are temperature-dependent. Here the reaction become faster with increase in temperature and produce a fantastic glow, but it will not last as long as it would at room temperature.
