Agricultural diversity in the Old South was practically diverse. Poor whites were among the healthiest of the southern population due to their work in occupations other than farming. False. The slave population in the South showed no significant growth between 1790 and 1830.

Agriculture in the Old South was quite diverse.

In theChesapeake Society, tobacco was one of their best commercial crops.

The Carolina Society was slave-based, and had rice and indigo, and earlier on, hemp.
