Describe the relationship between plants and humans using the following words: carbon dioxide, oxygen, sugar, starch, ATP
Plants are autotrophs which means they are able to synthesize their own food by a process known as photosynthesis. In photosynthesis, the required elements are sunlight, water and carbon dioxide. The whole process takes place in the chloroplasts and the products of the photosynthesis are sugar and oxygen. The sugar which is glucose is saved as starch( long chain of glucose molecules) in plants. Breakdown of the glucose yields energy in the form of adenosine triphosphate or ATP.
The carbon dioxide which is absolutely necessary for photosynthesis comes from heterotrophs such as humans and also from the plants as a byproduct of respiration i.e breakdown of organic substances such as glucose, proteins, fats and the generation of ATP from them. The process of respiration takes place in both humans and plants where oxygen is necessary. During respiration, the organisms produce carbon dioxide which is again used in the production of glucose.
Describe the relationship between plants and humans using the following words: carbon dioxide, oxygen, sugar, starch,...
Starch is a carbohydrate that plants make that stores chemical energy. Plants make starch molecules by binding together long chains of glucose molecules. What is the ORIGINAL source of the energy that is stored in starch molecules? Oxygen molecules Sunlight Energy Sugar (glucose) molecules Carbon Dioxide
A) what is the relationship between photosynthesis and cell respiration? 1. photosynthesis removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and cellular respiration puts it back. 2. photosynthesis releases oxygen into the admosphere, and cellular respiration uses that oxygen to release energy from food. B) what color found in many plants is produced by which pigment? C)what color of light are green plants the best at reflecting? 1. yellow 2. green 3. blue. 4 red D) what are the two main sets...

Describe the historical relationship between atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide and global temperature; summarize the evidence that modern increases in atmospherics concentration of carbon dioxide are related to the burning of fossil fuels, as well outline the projected environmental effects of global warming.
In photosynthesis, plants form glucose (C6H12O6) and oxygen from carbon dioxide and gaseous wTer. is photosynthesis thermodynamically favorable (spontaneous)?
consider the chemical reaction between carbon and oxygen to produce carbon dioxide. what mass of carbon dioxide will be produced if 32.24 grams of carbon reacts completely with 54.75 grams of oxygen?
15. In photosynthesis, plants convert carbon dioxide and water into oxygen and glucose, C6H1206. If 75.2 g of glucose are obtained when 131 g of CO2 react in the presence of excess H2O, what is the percent yield of the reaction?
