When the gene for Let-7 miRNA is deleted in mutant worms, expression of Let-7 miRNA would be comparatively less in the mutant worms. Since Let-7 miRNA is responsible for regulating the expression of lin-41, in mutant worms, we can expect an increase in the expression of lin-41 protein. Because, when there is not enough let-7 miRNA to regulate, the expression of lin-41 would go unregulated. But since let-7 miRNA is not affecting the transcription of lin-41 gene, the concentration of lin-41 miRNA is expected to remain the same.
