Basically all people need a leadership style that would make an organisation grow,meaning they have to inspire and make the followers be more productive everyday.For instance, in a sales department, the sales leader must always be upfront of using the best leadership style that will make them be more productive. In my previous organisation, we had a sales leader who used dictatorship styles, the salespeople were being harassed and they could not present their grievances to the sales leader because he would chase them away. The sales leader used to demand results everyday which is a form of harassment to the salespeople, the salespeople become very unproductive and the organisation started to fall because of lower productivity. A lot of the salespeople left the organisation and searched for sales job in organisations that had best leaders.
Explanation:
When it comes to servant and transformational leadership style, a leader tends to be on the forefront in bringing business to an organisation. This will motivate the salespeople hence getting inspired and working more hard so as to achieve both individual and organisational goals. If that leader could be transformational and servant leadership, things would be different, the salespeople could have performed with positive energy.
