I believe that training and development can influence the core value of “deliver WOW through service” the most. This is because through training and development all employees and stakeholders of Zappos can be oriented to deliver value to the customers in a systematic and tangible manner. Employee can be taught and trained to offer unparalleled level of services by making them understand that offering excellent service levels is the only way in which Zappos can effectively compete in this highly competitive market. Training and development will influence this core value the most because employee performance can easily be targeted and then improved and they can be taught to adapt themselves to the changing market dynamics in an effective manner.
I believe that the core value that will be influenced the least will be the core value of “be humble”. This is because humility is an inherent human trait or character and it is very difficult for people to change their innate character. Employees and stakeholders can only be told about the need to be humble; they cannot be taught or trained to develop humility.
