Example of ideal consensus sequence is bacterial promotor sequence that contain -10 box (also known as pribnow box) and -35 box. Consensus sequence is used do determine how strong the promoter is. Stronger promoter has high rate of gene expression.

-10 consensus sequence is TATAAT and -35 consensus sequence is TTGACA.

Apart from that sequence at which activator proteins binds is known as enhancer sequence or consensus sequence. GC box, the binding site for activators have GGGCGG consensus sequence.

So option E( all of the above) is correct
