Grapevine always exists within the formal organizational structure and develop when the employees share same break times, social gatherings, hobbies, etc. so that they interact with each other. This exist between both management and non-management personnel and it does not follow organizational hierarchy.
Grapevine is helpful because it is considered accurate to circulate information which is more rapid than information circulation in the formal channels of communication.
