Answering the first question as per Chegg Guidelines:

1. I work in a software development MNC which has coverage in 9 countries. The company is known to be a mass recruiter in colleges and students with computer degree often aspire to join the same. Recently there has been a change in the workforce dynamics. The baby boomers and generation X are retiring and the millennials are occupying the workspace. The company’s demographics is evolving and the overall behavior of the manpower seems to have changed. The behavior of the millennials is quite different from the baby boomers or generation X. The millennials are tech savvy. They require flexibility as well as autonomy and get attracted by processes which are technologically inclined. Hence the company also needs to evolve its processes and systems to suit the need of the changing workplace. The company can improve its processes and policies in the following dimensions:

  • The company can become more flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the industry
  • Change management process can be more comprehensively handled by the company
  • The company can opt for a flatter structure so that employees have autonomy as well as accountability for their work
  • The company can come up with benefits like telecommuting, flexi-work hours, etc., to make the employer brand more attractive for the millennials.
