QUALTIES OF MANAGER

1 KNOWLEDGEABLE - A manager should have knowledge about how a business is required to run in efficient manner.

2 CREATIVITY - Manager must have a creative mind, he should work at searching new way and methods of doing work in an organization in more and more effective and efficient manner.

3 A DECISION MAKER - Manager should be quick at making best decisions, so that he can grab the best opportunities on time and thus make bussiness grow.

4 LEADERSHIP - A mangager without leadership quantity is not a worthy manager. Manager has to provide direction to the lower level staff and for this he must have leadership quality.

5 COMMUNICATION SKILLS - A manager must possess good communication skills so that he may communicate the goals and objectives to the staff effectively. Which is mandatory for timely achievement of goals.

If the manager possess the above qualities he may be termed aa a good manger. He should be able to guide his team in effective manner towards timely achievement of goals of the organization.

QUALTIES OF LEADER

1 HONEST - A good leader is always honest towards it's everyone.

2 INSPIRE OTHERS - A Good leader always inpire his team members towards betterment.

3 DECISION MAKING ABILITY - GOOD LEADER ALWAYS TAKES QUICK decision to grab the opportunities timely.

4 ACCOUNTABILITY - They always hold responsibility as to the work performed by them.

5 CREATIVITY AND INNOVATIVE- THE LEADERS ARE ALWAYS likely to move through creative paths to innovative ideas.

Hence, a good leader is the one who possesses the above qualities.

The qualities of manager and leader do not overlap in the sense of delegation of responsibility in scope od manger and giving direction in scope of leader.

The qualities of manager and leader are overlapping in the sense that LEADERSHIP IS A PART OF MANAGERIAL SKILL.Leader cannot substitue the manager, however a manager is required to be a good leader to help organization to survive and grow in long run.
