DNA Replication always starts from 5' to 3' direction by DNA polymerase. This DNA polymerase can add nucleotides to the 3' end of a strand.

So answer here is if asked from right to left, bottom strand becomes as the template for the leading strand.Basic Idea DNA Replication - Semi Conservative / each strand act as template I for synthesis of new and complementary strand)
