Both the statements are true.

In case of stochastic, the expected activity duration = (Optimistic time + 4*Most likely time + Pessimistic time)/6

Variance = (Pessimistic time - Optimistic time)^2/36

The expected time for the path is the sum of expected time of all the activities. Also, Variance of path is sum of variances of activities in the path
