An essential gene with a codon 5'-UUA-3' encodes for a amino acid leucine.
When mutation has occurred and the codon is changed the sequence to 5'-UUG-3', the same amino acid will be encoded. That is the codon 5'-UUG-3' also codes for the amino acid leucine.
Since this mutation doesn't affect the function of a cell but actual mutation has occurred, this mutation can be called as Silent mutation.
Hence the correct option is OPTION (4) This change results in a silent mutation.
